I was feeding Spencer last week in Target and a woman came up to me and asked if I was breastfeeding. I said yes (duh). She said, "Oh wow, you don't mind doing that in public?" I almost fell off my chair. Seriously?? Should I not feed him if he's hungry?? No one would bother to say anything if it were from a bottle. I never am embarrassed about nursing in public. If it bothers others then they are the ones who can leave or go away. I guess you meet all kinds...:-).
I'm a crunchy Deaf Mama living an idyllic life in Vermont, raising free-range children and chickens with my hubby Nick and our husky, Mylo. Truly a dream of our own creation.
